Morningstar Sleeps was founded in 2021 by Milan and Jamie, two Zeeland locals, with one clear mission: to create sleep products that truly understand the human body and keep their promise night after night.
We saw a market full of big claims, empty labels and one-size-fits-all solutions. Mattresses promoted as âthe bestâ simply because an organisation handed out an award. But letâs be honest, thereâs no such thing as the best mattress for everyone. What matters is finding the one thatâs right for you and your body.
Too often, people are given the wrong advice, pay too much, and end up with aches and pains caused by poor support or the wrong comfort options. We wanted to change that. Milan Roelofs
Before founding Morningstar, Milan (30) made custom mattresses for boats, campervans and caravans. That work showed him every day how different people are in posture, preference and sleeping position. This experience sparked the idea of an adjustable mattress. Wanting to go beyond the product itself, Milan trained as a certified sleep coach. With this expertise he can now also recognise and address underlying sleep problems.
Jamie Lemsom
Jamie (34) is an engineer by training and approaches sleep technology with an analytical mindset. He developed the combination of an adjustable shoulder zone and customisable firmness, with one strict condition: a progressive build-up of layers. Soft foams always belong on top, never underneath. With this principle he challenges the marketing myth of a mattress with âsix firmness levels,â a construction that simply doesnât stand up technically.
